OUT OF THE ORDINARY

Publishing & B2B

We make & publish our own games.Sometimes, we build with others

Two ways in: bring us a game to publish, or hire the team for a defined piece of work.

For indie developers

Pitch your game

We publish simulator, management and sandbox games from teams of two to six. Milestone funding sized for small teams, the IP stays yours, and the ports happen under the same roof.

  • Milestone funding sized for 2 to 6 person teams
  • Mobile, console and Switch ports in-house
  • In-house QA and console certification
  • PlayWay network: Steam Fest slots, wishlist swaps, store-page A/B tests

What we look for: a clear loop and a playable build. Genre open, sims preferred.

For studios and brands

Hire the team

A defined scope, a small senior team, one point of contact. We take on a few of these a year, when the project fits.

We bring your bold ideas to life with strategic execution and transparent communication. Whether you’re launching a new IP, gamifying a product, or exploring Web3, we deliver the technical skill and creative edge to push your vision forward.

  • Interactive minigames for ads and marketing campaigns
  • Full-cycle development, from scratch to post-launch support
  • Porting between PC, console and mobile

Services

What we take on

Interactive minigames

Short playable pieces for ad campaigns, brand activations and landing pages. Web, mobile or in-store, sized to a media plan rather than a roadmap.

Examples: RoboHero, Outerlife: Hero Brawl

Full-cycle development

Concept, prototype, production, launch, then live support and updates. Built by the team that ships our own sims, and yours to own when it’s done.

Examples: RoboHero, Outerlife: Hero Brawl

How it goes

Porting

PC to Switch, Xbox and PlayStation. PC to iOS and Android. Every port starts with a feasibility audit and ends with certification and launch, and roughly a third of audits end at “don’t”.

Examples: UBOAT: Silent Hunt, Thief Simulator: Sneak & Steal (mobile)

Publishing questions, answered

What developers ask us before they pitch.

Does OUT OF THE ORDINARY publish games?

Yes. OUT OF THE ORDINARY publishes indie titles: simulator, management and sandbox games from teams of two to six people who already have a playable build.

How do I pitch a game to OUT OF THE ORDINARY?

Send a build link and a short pitch through the form at outoftheordinary.io/publishing/submit or to pitch@outoftheordinary.io. We reply within three to five business days, and if there is a fit we book a 30-minute call.

What kinds of games are you looking for?

Simulator, management and sandbox games first: anything where the moment-to-moment loop is the experience. We are open to genre mixes, and we always want to play a build before we talk terms.

How much funding does the label provide?

It strongly depends on the project and on what we aim to achieve together. Funding is paid in milestones and sized to the team and the scope we agree on, rather than a fixed ticket.

Who keeps the IP?

The developer. Publishing with OUT OF THE ORDINARY does not transfer ownership of your game.

Do you also port the games you publish?

Yes. Mobile and console ports happen in-house, so the Steam build and the console build come from the same people.

Can I hire OUT OF THE ORDINARY for a defined piece of work?

Yes: porting between PC, mobile and consoles, full-cycle development of a game, and interactive minigames for campaigns. Write to hello@outoftheordinary.io with a two-line brief.

Tell us about your project.

A build link or a two-line brief is enough to start.
